ABOUT ME
Greetings:
My name is Christine Nusser. I am a licensed clinical social worker with a private practice in Tennessee. I have an undergraduate degree from Lipscomb University (psychology major), an MSSW degree (clinical social work major) from the University of Tennessee School of Social Work, and an MBA (finance major) from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. I have been in practice for over 30 years.
I am a seasoned therapist experienced in the provision of services for those with chronic mental illnesses, mood disorders, situational disorders, dual diagnoses, substance abuse, life crises, obsessive compulsive disorders, unresolved grief, anxiety disorders, and phobias etc. Services provided are designed to address each individual’s needs and preferences. I am trained and experienced in the use of an array of techniques and will use a specific technique upon request.
The mission of my practice is to enable individuals to work towards achieving their goals including the lessening of or relief of symptoms, maintaining stability, achieving personal growth, and increasing self-actualization through the provision of quality, supportive, and affordable therapy.
Feedback from clients has been consistently very positive. In fact, the majority of the referrals to the practice come from former clients.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Christine is the best and always there when you need her!
I think she is a great therapist, I’ve only had 1 session with her, looking forward to more.
Has really helped me understand my flaws.
Ms. Nusser is a great therapist that is very caring and always focuses on the important concerns that I have brought up in our sessions and always helps to lift me up. Even if I only see her once a month with my busy schedule, we have very productive discussions that start from where we last left off and she always reaches out to see how I'm doing.
Just getting started with Christine but so far I really enjoy her ability to listen and quickly assess the key things to address.
Highly recommend for anyone seeking compassionate guidance through challenging times.
