Heather Williams is a board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner who has worked in the mental health field over the past 8 years. She started her career in healthcare working as a home health aide while attending nursing school. Heather went on to complete her Registered Nursing Degree program and has been working in mental health since that time. She then went on to receive her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing at Maryville University in St. Louis, Missouri. She has worked in several mental health settings including inpatient, outpatient, and memory care facilities. This involved the care of many vulnerable populations, such as in the mother/baby intensive outpatient program for those experiencing perinatal mood disorders and postpartum depression. Her experience with individuals across various age groups and backgrounds has shown a passion to provide mental health services and access to all individuals.
