More about me
Licensing: LMHC, NCC, PhD Years in Practice: 6 State: New York
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of New York. I have over six years experience working with individuals with mental health concerns. I have worked with clients who have been diagnosed with a wide range of disorders, including depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, addiction, and personality disorders. I have also worked with individuals experiencing difficulty coping with life transitions, anger management issues, and self-esteem concerns.
I define my approach to counseling as person-centered, which focuses on developing a supportive relationship with my clients that allows me to assist them in utilizing their strengths in order to determine solutions that work for them. In order to support this approach, I utilize interventions from other theoretical frameworks, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. I tailor my treatment approach to each client individually in order to ensure the client's ultimate experience in therapy. My ultimate goal is to provide my clients with tools that will help them live a happier, healthier life.
Welcome to the journey towards a better you! I would be happy to take this journey with you.
About online counseling
Online counseling allows you to receive care from an online mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Ranging from $60 to $90 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
