I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 20 years of experience working with couples, individuals, families and groups in both inpatient and outpatient settings. I have worked with clients dealing with a wide range of concerns including spiritual issues, anxiety, grief, relationship issues, stress, career challenges, and divorce recovery. I have also done a lot of premarital work, communication training and have counseled women struggling with eating disorders.

My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach is eclectic and includes cognitive-behavioral, paradoxical, empathic listening and family of origin work. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs, working to find a pace that both challenges you to reach the goals you desire to achieve, while also helping you to feel heard, understood and as comfortable as possible.

Cheryl has been a huge help to me during a time that is very difficult. Her helpful tips have been pivotal in helping me with my severe anxiety and some mental health struggles. Highly recommend here as a therapist!

I've been with Cheryl for about 10 months now, and wow. She has helped me through so much that I never thought I would encounter. It's been so calming knowing I can go to her for any issue I'm having. She helps me think clearly and gives the best advice. I really feel like Cheryl listens and cares about me. Between sessions, she periodically reaches out to check in as well. Overall, a very loving, caring, and gentle person. Highly recommend Cheryl.

I have been talking with Cheryl for four and a half years. During that time she has gone way above and beyond to try to help me. She is an extremely warm and caring person with a lot of experience in life and as a therapist. I have not presented her with easy things to fix, but she has never failed to give me all that she has to give, which is a lot. I have just started with Cheryl. I say that, but I've been in the process of getting started for a bit now. She has been understanding and supportive of my situation by being available when I am ready to invest time into my counseling but also reaching out from time to time, just to check in on me. I appreciate the space she allows me in while I work up to actually getting started. So far I feel as though she personally understands my situation and some of the things I have been struggling with. It helps make it easier to talk openly about things. I also liked that she has suggested things I can do outside of sessions to keep moving forward until I am in a position to devote more time to sessions. After our first phone session, I felt more positive and hopeful than I have in a very long time. I really believe that God's hand matched us up.

Just wise beyond her years. Very informative and attentive to your needs. Has a wonderful balance of wisdom into your issues using God's perspective from His word and logical life experiences /truths that may help.
