Hello and Welcome! I am glad that you are here.

I am a Licensed Psychologist in Minnesota. For over 25 years, I have worked as a therapist with many clients with various issues, including anxiety, depression, stress management, relationship issues, parenting problems, grief and loss, and trauma.

My counseling style is warm and supportive. I use a person-centered approach focusing on the individual's strengths. Identifying one's strengths and coping skills that can be used to help work through various issues is an essential part of my therapy approach. I believe in building a relationship that is trusting, respectful, and comfortable. I will work with you on achieving your goals and getting what you want out of therapy. I believe that each individual can overcome struggles. Sometimes, having additional support in therapy can help identify better and recognize the coping skills and strengths they already possess.

My hours are generally 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday-Thursday and until 3:00 pm on Friday. I like to start this process with an intake to make sure that we are a good match. I ask that you do not schedule an appointment until this short process is completed.

You have taken the first step in your journey to being a happier, healthier you. I would be honored to assist you on this journey.

Reviewed June 2021

Lisa really listened to me and validated what I was feeling was in fact normal which was huge! Friends and family often get tired of hearing the same old issues and just want you to get on with life and they don't understand that working through things sometimes isn't a quick fix. It's nice to have someone on the outside who can say yes this is ok to feel sad and or upset, and then help you discuss ways to deal with those feelings so you can move forward into your best life!

Reviewed March 2021

Very happy to be back, very happy that my counselor is local.! Very pleased with the ease of the app and the option of doing goal sheets! It’s nice to send out thoughts and concerns at anytime of the day instead of waiting for three or four weeks to get in to see someone in person. I know I will not receive an immediate response but still it is out there and we can always review it!

Reviewed June 2018

Lisa has been really great. I wasn’t sure if therapy via messaging would work for me, but I’ve found that without an end time to a session, and being able to send several messages throughout a week when I need to has been immensely helpful. As someone with a busy schedule, keeping regular appointments in the past isn’t something I’ve been able to do, so being able to message her whenever it works for me means that I’ve been able to stick with it much longer than with previous attempts.

Reviewed June 2018

Lisa is awesome! She listens well and makes sure to keep checking on me when I disappear. She asks insightful questions and helps me work through problems that lead to actions for change. Highly recommend her!
