I have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for 21 years working with individuals, couples, families and adolescents. I began my career working with high school students in a church setting which I enjoyed, but realized that young people needed so much more for their social and emotional well-being than I knew at that time. During the years, I discovered the power of family dynamics in the mental health of children and adults. This led me to pursue my Master's in Social Work from Aurora University in Illinois and become licensed in Illinois,. I am also licensed in Montana where I lived and worked on the Blackfeet Reservation in a small school and now in Indiana where I currently reside.
I have experience with people who have depression, anxiety, PTSD and grief issues. I have also done therapy with survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence and have experienced other trauma in their lives. I have a therapy style that draws on several therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness Based Therapies. I believe that holistic approaches that acknowledge the mind, body and spirit connection can be very effective with people who are dealing with today's fast paced lives that often lead to stress related problems.
Finding balance as we go through life transitions can come by attending to our mental and physical health on a daily basis. I enjoy working with people who are actively engaged in their own health and well-being and have been told that I connect well with people of all ages. I am eager to help you work towards health and balance in your life.

It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.

She is great
I found Mary super helpful in working through some issues. I really appreciated her help and will contact her again when I need more help!
First session was great. I am confident in her abilities and skills to assist me. She provided a bunch of information from just the first session.
Mary is very professional, understanding and respectful. She is very calm, caring, and approachable. She gives me the info/tools I need that is appropriate. I like that I can read these very quickly and have easy access from my profile . I appreciate that she takes time to explain concepts to help me understand myself without suggesting a book right off the bat. I don't like reading long books if I can find a short but concise way to still get what I need to know. She takes care to make sure I understand things properly. She follows up with concerns and questions. She is very engaging and remembers what I've shared without having me repeat myself too much.
I found Mary to be very supportive and skillful in addressing faulty thinking I had about myself and my challenges in my marriage.
Mary is a fantastic counselor. She is thoughtful, encouraging, and skilled at handling issues.
