More about me
Licensing: MAMFT, LPC Years in Practice: 10 State: Oklahoma
Hello all! My name is Nakeisha McGee and I am a Marriage and Family Therapist and Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I have been in the field of mental health and substance abuse treatment, in theory or in practice, since 2005. I have managed school and community based programming and provided services for individuals, children, teens, those who have experienced varying types of trauma and those suffering from varying addictions both in patient and outpatient care. I also counsel couples and have been trained in the Prepare and Enrichment assessment in which I served as an Enrichment Feedback Coach.
I have utilized several different treatment modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Focused CBT, Rational Emotive Therapy. The one I use most for couples therapy is Intersubjective Therapy, in which the client is the broken relationship and is the focus of treatment. Generally speaking, I have a laid back approach to therapy where my goal is to build a working relationship with you to see issues from your point of view. This is one of the best ways to guide you to your own version of healing and eliminates me "telling you what to do."
I look forward to working with and helping you along your journey to your next level of greatness. Let's change your world, one session at a time. :-)

About online counseling
Online counseling allows you to receive care from an online mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
