More about me
Licensing: LCSW Years in Practice: 8 State: New York
Hello! My name is Patricia Wosleger. I’m a licensed clinical social worker with nine years experience of providing psychotherapy in New York. I graduated with my Bachelors in psychology from Georgetown University, and my Masters in Social Work from New York University.
I have a wide range of experience working with people with concerns about depression, anxiety, and coping with life changes. I am especially passionate about working with women, particularly around the subjects of self esteem, stress management, perinatal mental health, mothering concerns, and personal empowerment. In addition to my experience with providing therapy, I also have four years of experience working as a clinical supervisor, so I am also well versed in guiding helping professionals manage burnout, vicarious trauma, and compassion fatigue.
My approach is warm and empathetic, strengths based and solutions oriented. I believe in treating each person as an individual, deserving of respect and free from judgments. I truly feel that building upon your personal strengths is the most effective way to build a happier and healthier life. I will work with you to set goals for what you would like to achieve in therapy, and blend interventions depending on your personal strengths and your needs. I am skilled in utilizing interventions including mindfulness, cognitive behavioral and solutions oriented approaches.
I look forward to working with you!
About online counseling
Online counseling allows you to receive care from an online mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
