Hello my name is Melissa, and I am a licensed professional counselor with over 11 years of mental health treatment and consultation experience. I use a variety of therapy models (the logical, direct kind - or Cognitive Behavioral Therapy; the eclectic person centered model, or the motivating behavior and change through Motivational Interviewing), and I always use my client's interests and personality as the best guide for the approach.
That doesn't mean I follow a book, or manual!! Actually, I would say that my therapeutic approach will be dictated by what my client needs. I am here to help you on your journey towards becoming the better you, or a "you" that you want!! I am not going to tell you what you should do, but we can talk about what you did do ; ) .
