Welcome to my page. I’m so glad you’re here and are taking the first step to getting the help you need.
Do you feel like you’re stuck in patterns you can’t seem to change? I believe that the most important part of counseling is the relationship between counselor and client. I foster that relationship by creating a collaborative, warm, and comfortable environment where you can relax and explore what brought you in to my office. My approach is to be open minded and address the whole person by utilizing modalities of treatment that fit individual needs of clients. I see my role as your counselor is to give you the space to navigate through life’s stressors, reprocess distressing experiences, and increase self-awareness. I am passionate about working with individuals who just feel stuck and need some extra guidance to get through a difficult time.
I have experience working in a variety of settings including a domestic violence shelter, an in-patient treatment facility, and non-profit agencies. I have experience with individuals, couples, and children. I have experience working with all members of the adoption triad. I love working with people of all ages, genders, races and backgrounds. As a longtime member of the amputee community, I was involved in co-founding and co-leading a support group for amputees, their families, and caregivers.
About online counseling
Online counseling allows you to receive care from an online mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Ranging from $35 to $80 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
