I went in went into Betterhelp with good expectations and I received more than I ever expected. My match up with Tiana Miller has been a perfect fit. I really need a trauma specalist and she for sue fits the bill. She has given me great new coping skills, started me on some trauma therapy work, and is always easy to reach. I am so grateful to have her. Thanks Tiana!!!

More about me
Welcome and thank you for taking the first step towards getting help! Opening up to a therapist can be difficult. I am here to be a listening ear, voice of reason, and your hype woman!
My name is Tiana and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Virginia. I have over 10 years of experience working with various populations of people. I earned my undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Virginia (Go Hoos!), and my Masters in Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University. I have extensive history working with individuals and families who have experienced complex trauma (including abuse and neglect), Depression, Anxiety, PTSD, adjustment to major life transitions, family and relationship issues, grief and loss, and other concerns. I am trained in trauma treatment modalities to include: Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT).
Despite my training and experience, I believe that building a positive connection, with the people I work with, is the most important aspect of counseling. I strongly believe in building upon your strengths, and I will work with you to help you achieve your goals. I utilize various therapeutic approaches to include: CBT, Strengths Based, and Solution Focused approaches; to help you achieve your therapeutic goals. The hardest step is asking for help. Let me help you overcome your struggles!
About online counseling
Online counseling allows you to receive care from an online mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Ranging from $35 to $80 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
