I can’t say enough how helpful Valerie was when I was in need. I’d hit a low point, and didn’t know what to do to help myself get out of there. Valerie and I identified the root issues early on in my sessions, and worked from there to find ways that I could be empowered to take back my mind from my frustration and anger and think clearly again. The only thing I would like better about this service would be if instead of just a voice call, we could video chat. I believe it could better help the patient with reading the body language of the councilor and the councilor read the body language of the patient. Valerie seems to be a very attentive listener and has experience in the areas that I have problems in.

Loved talking with her every session we had! Her worksheets also are very helpful and many of them really helps you think about each question/statement and really help you realize what is healthy and what is unhealthy behavior, and help you to develop healthy habits daily. Wow, I do not even know where to begin. I have worked with multiple counselors throughout my life and Valerie is truly one of a kind. It was so easy to build a relationship with her and become vulnerable. She is supportive, patient, accepting, caring, light-hearted, a great listener and so much more. Not only does she guide me through my challenges (mostly anxiety), she is great advice giver on life. She is real, open and understands that everyones life is different and each person has their own struggles, but we may overcome them in time. She is a wonderful cheerleader and reminds me to celebrate progress, no matter how small. With her help I have been able to develop techniques that help me better manage my anxiety, become mindful and simply just be thankful for the gift of life.
