Hello, my name is Iris Bilan and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master’s degree in Professional Counseling with over nine years’ experience. I am clinically trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Solution Focused Therapy as well as EMDR Trauma Therapy. I work with adult men and women. Iris Bilan is an amazing therapist, but more importantly an amazing human being. I went to multiple therapists (in person) before seeing Iris -all were PhD's -, they were all just pretending to listen and nodding the whole time, waiting for my time to run out and collect their payment. I grew tired of therapy, I saw the whole thing as just a money grabbing business where you go to person, pay them 200 dollars a session so that they pretend to listen and just nod. Through a series of "fortunate" events, I found Iris, I was a little bit not sure if this would be any different, but I thought let me give this thing a shot. At session one, I realized this was different, on that session, I got more help than I had from all my previous sessions with other therapists combined. she listened, taught me immediate coping strategies so I may survive, then explored my whole set of problems, and she did not shy away from challenging my perspective and correcting it when it was skewed. She was always there for me, she was there even when it was urgent and not convenient for anybody else. she helped me get back on my feet after everything in my life just crashed and burned. Thanks to her, now Im in a better place mentally, personally and proffessionally, I wouldn't be able to do that without her guidance. And for that Im eternally grateful

Iris is a a Godsend for me !! Can’t say enough about how grateful I am to have found her .. she gets it.. plain and simple , and is compassionate and encouraging when needed , but the part I needed the most was honesty and some tough love , and facts and knowledge .... and she has it all .
