More about William

  • 6 years' experience
  • Male
  • LPC

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas, New Jersey, and Virginia (Texas LPC: 78816; Virginia LPC: 0701010791; New Jersey LPC: 37PC00934800) with four years of counseling experience. I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a Master of Arts Degree in Counseling. I further specialized in Addictions Counseling at UNC Charlotte and Trauma and Disaster Counseling at East Carolina University. Currently, I am pursuing a Doctor of Education in Counselor Education and Supervision from National Louis University. I have worked with clients struggling with substance use, depression, and anxiety. I have worked in varied settings including correctional facilities, homeless shelters, psychiatric hospitals, and outpatient clinics. I am a Certified Clinical Telemental Health Provider through Evergreen Certifications.

I utilize a Client Centered Approach to counseling; this means that we work together hand in hand to help you accomplish goals. I view my clients as experts on themselves, what does that mean? That means that I will not tell you what to do, but work with you to find solutions that are unique to you! I meet my clients wherever they are on their journey and considering it a privilege that you allow me to accompany you on your journey. As well as utilizing Client Center Approaches, I also use Cognitive Behavioral Techniques and Mindfulness techniques.

Reaching out for help is an act of bravery. We all need additional support from time to time. Seeking a qualified counselor can be the first step towards living the authentic life that you want to live. I look forward to hearing from you!

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.

Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.

I feel like I’ve been talking about my same issue for 2 months now and William doesn’t seem tired of helping me process it. It sounds so silly but I know I can get in my head sometimes. Even I get tired of hearing it so I can imagine what it’s like for someone else. Haha. It really helps to have someone talk through the issue without any judgement. I’ve definitely found value in talking with William weekly. Also, he’s super fast at responding via messages.

Mr. Ezzelle is an excellent listener and I greatly appreciate his insight. He has a wonderful sense of humor which helps me feel at ease and look forward to our sessions. It's not every day you meet a man you can simultaneously spill your guts to and laugh with. 10/10 would recommend!
