Louis is the perfect therapist for me. He listens intently and is encouraging as he harkens back to things I’ve said in the current session and from previous sessions so he’s always paying attention to and calling attention to nuances in what I share in our sessions. He’s not just nodding & smiling as I speak and he helps me see/apply things that will help me as I continue my wellness journey. He’s very empathic, interested and positive. So glad I was matched with him.

Hello. My name is Louis Huddleston. I have worked in the counseling field since 2011. I have worked with children, adolescents and adults on a wide range of mental health issues. These issues include depression, anxiety, personality disorders and psychotic disorders. I began in the counseling field working with incarcerated adult males. Shortly after, I transitioned to working with children and adolescents in the public school system.
I graduated from Liberty University in 2016 with a masters in Professional Counseling. After extensive training, I became licensed as a Professional Counselor in 2019 through the Virginia Department of Health Professions. I currently hold my license as an LPC in the state of Virginia.
I like to take an integrative approach to my therapy. Utilizing both behavior and cognitive therapies, allow me to meet my client where they are and assist them with where they want to be. I like to empower my client's to make the best decision for them. If you need help, or just a listening ear, feel free to reach out to me.
About online counseling
Online counseling allows you to receive care from an online mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Ranging from $35 to $80 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
