More about me
I have extensive experience working with couples at all stages of their relationships; blended families, military couples and families dealing with the challenges of military life. I truly believe that each person has a purpose in life, yet I understand that circumstances and situations can lead to a loss of focus.
I take an eclectic, holistic approach to therapy incorporating a variety of theoretical approaches and Christian counseling principles, depending on client preference and needs. I have experience working with individuals, couples and groups from diverse backgrounds dealing with a variety of concerns. I have years of professional experience in business management, training and team development in corporate, non-profit and religious organizations. I have conducted retreats and workshops for women, couples and leaders covering various topics. With over 20 years of direct involvement with the US Military, I have an understanding of military life and demands.Â
IÂ completed my undergraduate education at NYIT and my graduate education at Liberty University. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with Virginia Board of Counseling, National Certified Counselor with NBCC, Seminar Director with Prepare Enrich, Christian Life Coach and a member of American Counseling Association. My greatest accomplishments are my marriage, my children and my relationship with Christ.
About online counseling
Online counseling allows you to receive care from an online mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Ranging from $35 to $80 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
