More about me
"If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change." -Dr. Wayne Dyer
Hello!! I am happy you decided to take that first step in researching therapy and some therapists! The first step is always the most difficult. My name is Jenelle and I have been providing counseling services for 6 years now. I was in the military from 2006-2011 and have worked with homeless veterans with substance use issues, as well as adolescents in crisis (i.e. suicidal and homicidal). I have also worked with teens in residential (probation and foster youth) as well as families and couples. I am a Navy spouse currently, so I know full well the stressors both military members and spouses have to fight through with long deployments and gruesome work schedules. I have two beautiful children (with another on the way)!
I utilize a number of different therapies, but building that rapport and feeling comfort is always number one. I will meet you where you are at and start where you want to start! Life is not always easy and we all need someone to process our feelings and thoughts with! I hope I can be this person for you!
Thank you for looking at my profile and I look forward to working with you through whatever life has thrown your way!
About online counseling
Online counseling allows you to receive care from an online mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Ranging from $35 to $80 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
