I can't say enough good things about Dr. Lovaas! Scott has made a very strong impact on my life, supporting and teaching me through a hard time with health, past relationship trauma, and family issues. This is my first time going to therapy, and I've felt comfortable and understood. Scott actually cares. He's funny, empathetic, and he goes above and beyond for his clients.

Thanks for taking peek at my bio! My approach is wholistic--meaning I draw upon a variety of clinical theories. My first task to to provide deep listening in an effort to understand. I try and look at the whole picture and how the pieces all fit together for you and your context. I am direct, candid, and solution focused with kindness, curiosity and gratitude as my foundation.
A little about me: I have three advanced degrees in divinity, social work and media studies and I have worked in a wide variety of settings across 13 states. I also have five grown daughters. Wanderlust is in my blood--I have been fortunate to have travelled to over 40 countries, and always hoping there is more on the horizon. Additionally, I am a certified Laughing Yoga instructor--Ho, Ho, Ho, Ha, Ha. Innovation and creativity are in my wheelhouse. All these diverse experiences and education inform all that I do and who I am.
I would love to learn about you and talk about your journey.
About online counseling
Online counseling allows you to receive care from an online mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Ranging from $35 to $80 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
