Jaylea is an awesome therapist, she is empathic and understands what needs to change and pushes for it. She can be blunt but that helps cut through delusion in order to help you make the best decision and put you on the right track. I love working with her and look forward to our sessions!

Jaylea has helped me dig deep and grow as a person. I really appreciate her support and help through this therapy journey. My favorite part about our initial meeting is when she told me she’d always let me know if a behavior I’m exhibiting isn’t helpful for myself or others. It’s so important to me to have a different perspective who wants to see me grow as much as I want to grow.

Hello!

My name is Jaylea (She/Her). I am a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Master's Addiction Counselor in the state of Kansas, and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Colorado. I have received training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Critical Incident Stress Debriefing, Competency to Stand Trial Evaluations, and Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT). I have experience in working with clients of all ages (ages 3+), backgrounds (rural, urban, LGBT+). I have worked with a wide range of concerns including but not limited to, depression, anxiety, career challenges, ADHD, emotional/physical trauma, and parenting problems. I have additionally worked with many people facing chronic and or terminal illness.

My therapy style is eclectic and empathetic. I believe everyone has a story to share and deserves a safe space to be able to share and process with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I don't believe in stigmatizing labels.

My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, EMDR, and Solution Focused Therapy. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.

It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you.

Our first session is a consult to see if we are a good fit. Please understand that not all clients are a perfect fit with every therapist. We will discuss expectations and goals in this session and decide if we are a good therapeutic fit.

I am honestly blown away with the support that has been given to me through Jaylea. With her help, I have overcame some of the BIGGEST challenges in my ENTIRE life, and am steadily moving forward in a big way. She is SO versatile and blends her counseling approaches and strategies like a dang chameleon. She completely UNDERSTANDS how to help, and it is in no way limited to one certain area of expertise. She uses logic and reasoning to assess the situation, adapts accordingly, and knocks the advice out of the freaking park.

Jaylea is a compassionate therapist who provides a listening ear and a guiding hand during our sessions. She provides good feedback and I really connected to her because she made me welcome and not judged during our therapy session.

I've been meeting with Jaylea for a few weeks now and I couldn't be more pleased. I had an experience with a previous person on here that left me in tears after our first session with how terribly it went and bad it made me feel. I had the exact opposite experience after my first session with Jaylea. That one session made a HUGE difference and we continue to make progress week after week. She really listens, doesn't judge, and offers actionable items to help me continue the work between sessions. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Jaylea is gentle but also encouraged me to challenge myself when I need it. She’s supportive, insightful and a great person to talk to. We’ve made great progress together.

Reviewed September 2021

Jaylea is an excellent therapist. She actively listens to my concerns and helps give me tools that I can apply in the times between therapy to get through stressful situations and times of high anxiety. She is attentive and remembers things I’ve mentioned in previous sessions, which is helpful when new situations arise. The attention to details in my life makes her a great therapist. I’m a Healthcare worker and her understanding of the stresses and difficult days, and helping me work through the last few months, has been invaluable.

Reviewed September 2021

Jaylea is an incredible counselor. She understands me when I’m rambling and upset, and helps me narrow down what is bothering me in a way that we can tackle things one at a time. She is helping me be a better functioning adult, person, friend, wife, nurse… all the things.
