I have a passion for providing the utmost quality of services to individuals and families struggling with mental health and substance use disorders. My clinical vision is to “ensure I provide a safe atmosphere for clients to experience their vulnerabilities while sharing their stories.”
I have enjoyed a rewarding career working with children, adolescents, and families for many years. I have provided services in the mental health field in multiple capacities including as a community support worker, community based therapist, clinical director and clinical supervisor.
Treatment modalities I utilize include cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, solution focused therapy, behavior modification and other evidence-based treatments to adult and adolescent clients with a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and adjustment problems, such as anxiety, stress, depression, and relationship problems. I obtained my undergraduate degree in Social Science from the University of Maryland and graduate degree in Social Work from Morgan State University. I am licensed as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) and Licensed Clinical Social Worker-Certified (LCSW-C) with Clinical Supervision designation.
About online counseling
Online counseling allows you to receive care from an online mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Ranging from $60 to $90 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
