My name is Amie Diminico I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor(LMHC) in the state of Massachusetts. I earned my Bachelors Degree at Northeastern University, In Boston, Massachusetts in Counseling Psychology. Then went on to earn my Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology from Northeastern University as well.

Both my husband and I work so navigating work and family life is always a task I can truly relate to. I have been married for 11 years and we have 6 children all together. Both my oldest son and step-son graduated high school in 2020 and trust me the struggle was real with all the challenges they faced due to the pandemic. My daughter is settling into her second year in a college out of state and my step-daughter is a senior in high school trying to navigate her teenage years complete with all the drama that comes with the territory. My oldest step-son is slowly adjusting to his first few years out in the workforce. Our youngest daughter is in third grade and although she is 8 sometimes we have to remind her that she is not a teenager.

The majority of my work has been in a community mental health setting in the state of Massachusetts where I lead individual, family, couples, and group therapy. I devised multidisciplinary teams with the purpose of presenting cases for proper treatment with a global approach. I also acted as a liaison to help clients find meaningful employment in the community. I have worked with families and individuals who have experienced anxiety, depression, abuse/neglect, parenting issues, addiction, and adjustment disorders. Through my ten plus years of experience in the field of clinical psychology I have acquired strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to evaluate the needs of a wide range of people identify areas of need and then help to plan and carry out measurable goals to attain maximum achievement and adjustment.

I hope to motivate you in ascertaining your inner strengths and abilities. I aim to provide you with open thoughtful responses and to help create a safe, judgment free, confidential space for you to be able to share and trust your own opinions, while fostering confidence in order for you to realize your true potential.

I look forward to talking with you soon!

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Very caring and can relate to what I’m going through since she is a mother as a well. Always checks in to see how I am doing and has a decent amount of appointment availability. Very happy with our sessions so far.

Reviewed August 2023

She’s very patient and understanding, if not over eager to help. Even with topics she doesn’t quite understand her focus isn’t belittling or condescending, she just wants to understand.

So far so good. Have only had one live session

Reviewed December 2022

Reviewed August 2021

Amie is the best. She is very clearly listening to what I have to say and knows when I need to navigate something on my own vs when I need to hear something. I look forward to continuing the growth I’ve had due to her help. I feel supported and most importantly I feel heard.

Amie is very thoughtful and kind, and I would recommend her to anyone!

Reviewed April 2021

I can’t thank Amie enough for how she’s helped me transform my life. Her patience and understanding throughout this process is sincerely appreciated. She is empathetic and delicate in her approach, extremely supportive, and helped to remind me just how much progress I was making when I expressed any concerns or doubts. I have been able to successfully process my childhood trauma and recognize my own cycles of sabotage. After almost a year of working with her, I can gladly reflect on my journey with her and be so proud of the person I am today and extremely grateful for her assistance. I highly recommend her.

Amie is a great resource and very attentive and responsive. Appreciate her support!

Reviewed November 2020

Amie has an affable and disarming personality. She gives the clear impression that she is an expert in her field, but not so much that she would seem too distant to relate. She can maintain a focused conversation without the patient feeling like they're being led by the reigns I have had difficulty opening up in sessions prior to Amie. Her easy demeanor has resulted in real, measurable progress that I've been unable to achieve in the past

Reviewed November 2020

Amie is just wonderful. I’ve learned and grown so much. I look forward to working together more.

Reviewed November 2020

Reviewed September 2020

Amie has been a tremendous help to me. She is a great listener and offers a different perspective on the issues that I'm dealing with in life. I always feel so good after our sessions and I find that I'm able to view certain events in life in a more positive way.

Just a few weeks in, I feel so grateful to have been paired with Amie. She is amazingly kind, insightful, patient and helpful. Despite my initial fears with starting therapy (especially online!) she made me feel instantly comfortable and I feel like I have already gained so much from working with her.
