I have tried therapy many times in the past and never get past 1 session because I feel like they didn’t really listen or if they did they had no helpful instruction to help. I feel Ashley has been great in these two things and because of that I am continuing with therapy with her!

Hello,
My name is Ashley and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in Minnesota. In addition, I also hold my Certification in Rehabilitation Counseling and am a Minnesota approved supervisor. I have over 10 years of experience working with clients and patients diagnosed with mental health disorders in the capacity of an inpatient mental health setting at a hospital and on an outpatient basis at a community mental health center. I also have 8 years of experience establishing, facilitating and maintaining group therapy sessions. I have a wide range of experience with SPMI and SMI diagnoses such as major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, schizophrenia, schizoaffective disoder, post-traumatic stress disorder, substance use disorders, etc.
My clinical approach is person-centered therapy. I thoroughly enjoy being on the journey with the client rather than being the driver. None of us have all the answers in life and being able to have someone to bounce ideas off of and gain new perspectives can be beneficial. I enjoy working with clients and helping them identify their own goals in their life and exploring how we can overcome possible barriers together. I also believe it is important to have fun and laugh so sharing jokes or taking time to share a funny experience can also be part of the therapy session. I am truly fortunate to have a career in which I am involved with people allowing themselves to be vulnerable and growing more than they could have ever imagined! I also utilize motivational interviewing, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy skills, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), illness management and recovery, trauma informed care, IDDT/trans-theoretical model and multi-cultural counseling.
Overcoming stigma and stereotypes related to mental illness is also a passion of mine. It takes great courage and vulnerability to make changes within ourselves and I look forward to working with those who are ready for that journey!

Online counseling allows you to receive care from a mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.

Ashley is amazing! She is very flexible and understanding when things come up that interfere with a session.
Ashley is so kind and gentle, but provides wonderful reminders when I need them. I am so so lucky to have her as my therapist. <3
Ashley is consistent, timely, supportive, understanding, and attentive. She remembers things I’ve brought up in prior sessions better than I do!
Ashley has been great in helping me identify my triggers & determine how to manage my anxiety. Very thankful I’ve gotten the chance to have her service.
Ashely sent me informative help pieces and walked me through getting to a more realistic view on a past relationship. It’s all part of my journey and I’m glad that I started therapy with Ashley along the way.
I only used BetterHelp for about 3 weeks, and in those Ashley Becker was phenomenal. She replied within a timely manner, acknowledged me and my concerns, and actually had answers and ideas for me. She even reached out to me just to check in. I would recommend her to anyone, especially if you want someone on the more attentive side.
Ashley has been phenomenal for me as a first timer! I’ve never done therapy before, and was really concerned about how it would go; but Ashley has made it a painless process and has given me sound counsel!
Ashley is very responsive and caring. She gives me the support I need when I need it and also gives me things to work on. Highly recommend!
Ashley responds in a timely matter and gives out great tips to deal with whatever is going on in life!
