Hi! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the states of North Carolina and Virginia. I earned my Masters in Social Work Degree in North Carolina in 1993 and Virginia in 2005. I have worked with and provided counseling to a diverse population throughout my career including elderly populations, children, families, individuals, couples, and inpatient/outpatient. Also, I have experience working with Active Duty Service Members and their family members and Veteran’s.
I use a combination of Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focus Brief Therapy/Counseling, Stress Management, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. My belief is that everyone should be treated with dignity and respect. I enjoy helping clients help themselves by learning skills and tools that they may need to cope with current or future challenges of life. If you are experiencing any challenges, I would like to be the counselor that listens to your issues and concerns and help you develop the skills and tools that you will need to respond to life’s challenges.
I look forward to working with you!

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.
Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.
