I am a mental health counselor licensed in Rhode Island with 10 years of experience working as a therapist. I aim to build a safe, supportive, judgement-free therapeutic environment to assist clients in reaching their full potential. I use a strength-based, holistic approach with an emphasis on empowering the client through empathy, compassion, insight, and skill building to make the changes one wants to see in their life.
I provide services for children, adolescents, adults, families and couples struggling with anxiety and depressive disorders, mood disorders, ADHD, acute or prolonged trauma, behavioral problems, adjustment disorders, domestic and relationship issues, substance abuse issues, eating disorders, autism spectrum disorders, psychotic disorders, and other emotional, behavioral and co-occurring disorders.
I utilize a variety of treatment approaches to meet each client’s needs including (but not limited to) Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, and the ARC Trauma Framework (Attachment, Self-Regulation and Competency).
I have a BA in Philosophy from St. Bonaventure University and an MS in Counseling Psychology as well as an MS in Criminal Justice from Salem State University.
It takes courage to reach out for support and take the first steps toward making a change. I look forward to working with you!
About online counseling
Online counseling allows you to receive care from an online mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Ranging from $60 to $90 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
