More about me
Years in Practice: 8
Hey there, my name is Anderson and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Oregon and Virginia with over 10 years of diverse experience in the mental health field. My practice focuses on helping individuals and families who are struggling with anxiety, depression, communication, problem solving, and the many challenges of parenting, and who are desiring the ability to manage the challenges of their life with confidence. Our work together will use a strength-based perspective that allows both you and I to acknowledge and draw from your own unique qualities and abilities to overcome your current challenges. My clinical approach is integrative and includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Parent Child Interactive Therapy (PCIT), and Collaborative Problem Solving. I believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to achieve the quality of life that satisfies them. Over the past several years I have found that my own quality of life has been greatly enhanced from spending time outdoors, following creative interests, and developing deep relationships. My goal as your Counselor will be to support you in developing the quality of life that you desire. I look forward to meeting you and supporting you in your journey.
About online counseling
Online counseling allows you to receive care from an online mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Ranging from $35 to $80 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
