Sessions with Fernanda have become a staple in my life. I have learned so many coping skills, I've recognized patterns in my behavior, I know my triggers and I've thought a lot about their root causes. I have learned so much about myself through my sessions with Fernanda. She is encouraging and non-judgmental. I've spoken with her about things I was afraid to even articulate with anyone else or to myself. Working with her has helped me grow so much as a person. She's also very patient with me because I have a habit of rambling (both in our sessions, in my messages and my journal entries) and I can tell she really reads and hears what I say.

My counseling style is warm and interactive. My approach is relational, strengths-based and collaborative. I tend to rely on an eclectic mix of modalities drawing from CBT, REBT, and Reality-based therapies primarily. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.
It takes courage to seek for a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you. I am committed to helping you make lasting change in your life.

About online counseling
Online counseling allows you to receive care from an online mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Ranging from $35 to $80 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
