I am Nate Wagner and have been practicing counseling for close to a decade. I graduated from Colorado Christian University with a Master of Arts in Counseling and have practiced counseling in a wide variety of settings. What I enjoy most about being a counselor is the privilege of entering into another person's story and being able to play a small part in helping people process and grow from a wide variety of difficult situations and circumstances. I am constantly in awe of the resilience and beauty of the human spirit and it is a joy to be able to walk with people on their unique journey. I typically will provide a loosely structured format in counseling in which specific goals are identified and the partnership between counselor and counselee is one of mutual trust, understanding, respect, and where personal dignity is honored. I have found (and research shows) that the counseling relationship is the most important factor in successful outcomes, therefore I make every effort to have that relationship grow and flourish with trust. Special areas of focus include: anxiety, depression, unwanted behaviors, life transitions and adjustments, decision making, goal-setting, grief and loss, "imposter syndrome", negative thinking, and relationship issues. I look forward to working with you and learning about your story!
About online counseling
Online counseling allows you to receive care from an online mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Ranging from $60 to $90 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
