Welcome! Congratulations on taking the courageous first step of seeking out support. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and have practiced for over five years. In its simplest form, I am a laid-back therapist with an open mind who understands that there are differences in everyone. I provide an atmosphere that is non-judgmental and safe for you to be yourself.
I am skilled in therapeutic techniques for adults, adolescents, and children with extensive training in administering psychological assessments. I have worked with ages six and up with individuals, couples, and family therapy in private practice. I use an evidence-based eclectic approach where the sessions are tailored to focus on the client's need and may incorporate various approaches, including but not limited to cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, behavioral modification, family systems. If requested, I can incorporate faith-based principles in the therapeutic approach. The goal is to use therapy techniques to help an individual discover their strengths and find healthy solutions to their problems.
My personal struggles have landed me in mental health and are the driving force of why I chose this field to work. I know firsthand that life can be difficult, and it is sometimes hard to manage alone. In my life experiences and struggles, I found that at times it was difficult finding people to talk to and get the help I needed. I am now that person for you to talk to and work through your struggles.
My style is friendly, warm, and supportive. I am ready to help you with your struggles. I want to help you navigate through struggles and help you reach your goals. I will meet you where you are and support you through your journey.
I look forward to working with you!
About online counseling
Online counseling allows you to receive care from an online mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Ranging from $60 to $90 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
