Welcome! I am a mental health counselor licensed in Washington State. I've worked with adult clients for over 10 years, in private practice and other clinical settings (agencies, medical clinics). I often work with client concerns of anxiety, life transitions, relationships, and grief and loss. I use a variety of therapeutic approaches, including cognitive-behavioral therapy: the idea that our feelings and actions are driven by our thoughts.
When we become overwhelmed, we can lose sight of our own sense of self; therapy is an opportunity to gain perspective about you and your world. Our work together will be about identifying your struggles, strengths, and goals; then applying solutions that are useful and practical to you.
You already possess a wisdom about yourself that will make itself known in our sessions. I encourage you to be curious; it’s the most immediate path to success!

Online counseling allows you to receive care from a mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.

Very helpful therapist
Bruce has been very helpful. I have had so many challenging things recently pop up that have been a struggle. As well as some items that have required time and tools to better identify how to face them. Bruce has been able to help me better than I even hoped going into this process. He has been extremely patient, supportive, and very easy to communicate with. I appreciate his help immensely.
Bruce is great!
Excellent !
Bruce is the best therapist I’ve ever had. I feel very understood. He has a talent for reading between the lines to help find meaningful help for varying situations
Bruce is a great therapist. He listens to everything you have to say with no judgement and gives great advise and strategies on how to manage your emotions. He's also very blunt and direct which is a huge thing for me. Very understanding of all of my issues and had great ideas on how to manage them.
Bruce, for me, is GREAT. He cuts through to basic things; generally nails it on the head. He presents as keenly interested and very engaged. I suspect that's his years of experience.
Over the course of my therapy with Dr. Bruce, I was always reassured and confident in his abilities and professional expertise as a therapist. He is great at listening and endeavoring to understand whatever issue may arise before providing his input, questions, or reflections. There were often times when I would be struggling with verbalizing something, and he would invite me to take my time and analyze that inside the present moment. I appreciated his transparency in working together to understand my thoughts, and I grew to realize I could be fully comfortable and myself in our sessions. He respected my experiences and asked me to correct him if he ever assumed something falsely, which was a very meaningful demonstration of this respect. With his support, I grew so much and gained the skills to continue to navigate the ups and downs of my journey on my own. I felt truly heard and encouraged to find and take hold of my space in the world, including my internal world. I'm so grateful I was matched with him at this time, and for my experience on BetterHelp.
I've worked with Bruce for several months, and have found intense improvement in my mental and even physical health. Bruce is compassionate, understanding, and extremely good at helping identify patterns of survival found in childhood trauma. Highly recommend!
Bruce was able to quickly grasp what I needed from therapy and suggest easy, tangible things I could do. Great demeanor and responsiveness!
Bruce has been an excellent therapist to me and has helped me through some tough times. He has help me tackle personal trauma within our sessions and help supplied some tools that allowed me to step outside of the sessions and do work into myself as well.
Bruce has been instrumental in helping me discover ways to work through my CPTSD and stress.
Bruce has been great and very helpful. He responds in a timely matter and has some great advice.
Bruce was a good listener, helpful, and honest about what he thought he could offer, what he thought might be helpful, and what he thought I should bring to therapy sessions to get the most out of it. I would recommend his services to others.
Bruce is great and matches my therapy style very well.

Bruce is a kind and attentive man, who genuinely cares about me as a client and seems very engaged in his work. This is someone who isn't burned out, somehow, and can be positive to work with and still able to point work areas out in a way that is helpful.
