My time with Dr Araujo, although quite brief, was comfortable. She appreciated my enthusiastic and proactive nature and was able to support with resources to point me in the right direction. She took her time to listen and gave me the freedom to discuss the topics I wish to work on.

More about me
Years in Practice: 3
Hi there. Thank you for stopping by. I understand seeking help can be a very intimidating process. Thus, I want to congratulate you on taking this courageous first step.
My name is Dr. Andrea Araujo Talledo and I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, licensed in Alabama. I have over three years of experience providing clinical services in a variety of treatment settings, such as inpatient psychiatric hospitals, correctional settings, military bases, and college campuses. I have treated a variety of troubles, including depression, anxiety, personality disorders, as well as conducted groups on anger management and stress management.
I would describe my therapeutic style as warm, interactive, and straight forward. I believe to succeed in therapy, it is important for the client to feel safe and comfortable. Thus, I believe in the importance of building rapport earlier on, exploring your specific and unique needs, highlighting your strengths, and setting a safe space. I also understand not one treatment approach fits everyone. My approach to therapy is a combination of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and client-centered therapy. I also have experience providing Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and training in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Trauma-Focused CBT.
No matter what your struggle is, I hope we can work through it together. I look forward to meeting you.
About online counseling
Online counseling allows you to receive care from an online mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Ranging from $35 to $80 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
