I have had the privilege of working in many areas of the mental health field over the last 15 years, and this has shown me that people have the ability to heal given the right tools.
I have experience with anxiety, depression, anger management and PTSD. I have training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. I am empathetic and genuine in my approach, as I believe it’s important to feel both accepted and heard by your therapist. I employ a straightforward style but like to incorporate humor as well.
Change is always possible, but it is difficult.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

She is amazing
Phyllis is great!
We've only had one session so far but she's very compassionate, understanding and left me feeling validated. She gave me some wonderful solutions and advice to consider
Very nice and friendly. Gives good advise but sometimes pushes the point a bit much for my personal preference but I could see how it might be good for some people
She's patient, supportive, provides other resources and is able to have small talk which is super useful not only for myself. But she's very kind, funny and is honest about what she does know and what she doesn't know. Getting to know her has been a pleasure
Was in a pretty bad place mentally due to a long term commitment issue, so had pretty bad depression and very low self esteem. Phyllis recommended methods for coping and talked through these issues with me one on one on video calls. Really helped me out a lot.
She listens, has good advice and always responds to me in a timely manner.
Phyllis has been great to work with so far. She understands my goals in seeking therapy and is helping me get there in ways that have never been tried before. She’s a fantastic resource and I’m excited to continue working with her despite the hard work again.
