More about me
Licensing: M.A., LMFT Years in Practice: 7 State: California
Hi, I understand how difficult it can be at times to face the challenges of life. I am a licensed Marriage and Family therapist in California and have been practicing here for the past 7 years.
I graduated from Pepperdine University with a Masters in Clinical Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy. I understand how hard it can be to find balance in managing relationships, work ,and other areas of life. I have experience working with conflict resolution, relationship issues and communication, as well as abuse and trauma. I also have experience with parenting issues and understand how challenging it can be to be face difficulties with a child. I have treated anxiety and depression, and and hope to help you access your own strengths to face whatever situation you are currently finding challenging.
I use a client centered approach to therapy, which means I focus on the relationship between client and therapist and use a warm and empathetic approach to help you in your therapy process. I also use cognitive behavioral techniques to help you address what is going on and have additional tools to help.
I understand what factors culture can play in our lives and our beliefs as well and will focus on that area as well if you wish. I enjoy spending time with my children and family in my spare time and love the outdoors! I look forward to meeting you and working with you!
About online counseling
Online counseling allows you to receive care from an online mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
