Hello, my name is Rosie Pescador, I am a licensed marriage and family therapist, licensed in the state of California. I have been a therapist for more than 12 years and have worked with children, adolescents, and adults with different backgrounds and orientations.
I use a multi-pronged approach that will incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dilectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT), and a strength based approach. I have extensive experience working with crisis intervention, trauma, depression, anxiety, eating disorders, victims of domestic violence, mood dysregulation, and parenting skills. My goal in therapy is to provide every individual with the skills to assist them in managing their life and possible stressors that may be impacting them at the moment. I enjoy using psychoeducation, mindfulness, positive coping skills, affirmations, empowerment, and or tools that can be implemented in their life. I strive to provide every individual with an environment that is non-judgment, empathetic, empowering, and safe. I hope to assist you in reaching your goals and living a life that is worth living.
I look forward to working with each individual and helping them navigate their journey.
About online counseling
Online counseling allows you to receive care from an online mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Ranging from $60 to $90 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
