More about me
Licensing: LCSW Years in Practice: 9 State: California
Hello,
My name is Kristin McNeese and I am a License Clinical Social Worker. I acquired a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at California Polytechnic University Pomona. I also earned a Master of Social Work degree at Azusa Pacific University. I have been trained in various evidence based practices such as Seeking Safety, Crisis Oriented Recovery Services, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Managing and Adaptive Practices.
I have experience working with a broad age range starting from age four up to mature adulthood. I offer parenting skills for youth clients and will facilitate healthy communication in session. Sometimes in life we struggle to manage and process what we experience. Well I’m here to let you know you are not alone. I am here to assist you in working though some of life’s challenges you are faced with. As a clinician I draw from the humanistic and cognitive behavioral approaches. These approaches will assist you in exploring your thoughts and how they influence your feelings and behaviors. I’d like to provide you with practical tools to help you process and cope with daily struggles. I would also like to help you develop a mindset of positive growth to improve your confidence in facing your challenges in life.
I will be available during the evening Monday through Thursday via video and by phone. I look forward to collaborating with you in working toward creating positive change in your life.
About online counseling
Online counseling allows you to receive care from an online mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
