Kristina has been a life-changer. I look forward to my weekly sessions and she always encourages me to reach out throughout the week- no matter how annoying I feel doing it, she encourages it. She has changed my life for the better. If you need a sign, this is it. I wouldn't have gotten through these last months without her and this platform.

Hi, my name is Kristina Tran and I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) registered in the state of California. I graduated from the University of Southern California with my Master's of Social Work and have seven years of experience as a psychotherapist. I have experience working with clients of all ages in areas such as: relationship issues, anxiety and stress, grief and loss, life changes, depression, sleep disorders, and self-esteem/confidence issues.
I am passionate about engaging people to build their capacity for resiliency by using a strengths-based perspective. You have a unique set of strengths and traits that can assist you in overcoming your life hurdles. I like to use a solution-focused, cognitive behavioral approach to help my clients improve self-regulation skills, distress tolerance, and problem solving skills by ultimately changing their behaviors and thought patterns.
I believe that anyone can benefit from therapy because it is a non-judgmental, warm, and empathetic space to help you reflect and grow. Therapy is a great opportunity for you to learn more about yourself and develop strategies to tackle issues in a collaborative manner. I am proud of you for already taking the first step in being here and hope to be able to work with you!
About online counseling
Online counseling allows you to receive care from an online mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Ranging from $60 to $90 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
