Nili Askari is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and has worked with individuals, couples and families with different issues pertaining to their lives. Prior to joining Progeny Psychiatric Group, Nili worked with dual diagnosis clients in an inpatient treatment center setting as well as in a private practice setting. After graduating from UCSD with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, she pursued her Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Orange County. While obtaining her Master’s Degree she completed her practicum hours at the Chicago School’s Counseling Center where she saw clients as young as 18 years of age to 74 years of age with wide ranges of backgrounds. Nili has had experience working with a diverse population with different cultural backgrounds as well as individuals with personality disorders, bi-polar, depression, anxiety, dual diagnosis, relational issues, age-related and life altering issues.
Nili’s approach to therapy is focusing on the present and working alongside clients to obtain the goals they have in order to implement a balance between emotional, social and physical dimensions to improve their quality of life and wellbeing.
