More about me
Years in Practice: 6
"If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change." -Dr. Wayne Dyer
Hey!! My name is Jenelle and I have been providing counseling services for 6 years now. I have worked with various populations ranging from homeless veterans with substance use issues to suicidal and homicidal teens. I have the most experience with teens and young adults with depression and anxiety including suicidal ideations and self-harm, as well as those coming from behavioral health centers or inpatient facilities. I also worked in residential with the severely emotionally disturbed teens who were either on probation or foster youth who had no where else to go. I was previously in the military, am now a navy spouse, and have 3 beautiful children.
I utilize a number of different therapies; however, rapport is always number one. Just feeling like you can open up to someone or have someone to hold you accountable and be support can be all someone needs. I love teaching skills and helping others figure out what is behind these behaviors we want to change. I will meet you where you are at. This is your therapy and your time, you determine how much you want to put into it and no amount is too little or too much. No judgment here! :)
I check messages everyday except Sundays and holidays (and even then I still end up checking it for anything urgent). My hours for live sessions are Mondays 8:30am-10:30am, Thursdays 1pm-3pm and Fridays 8:30am-1pm. Thank you for looking at my profile and I look forward to working with you through whatever life has thrown your way!
About online counseling
Online counseling allows you to receive care from an online mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Ranging from $35 to $80 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
