Hello and thanks for stopping by! I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist (PSYD) in the state of California. I am originally from Florida, however, I received a Doctorate Degree in Clinical Psychology, from Biola University, Rosemead School of Psychology. I have lived in California since 2011.
I have been working in the mental health field for over 9 years. My experience is with individuals and their families in a variety of settings including: community mental health, hospital settings, university counseling, and geriatrics. I have experience with a wide range of clinical issues, including transitions, phase of life, anxiety and stress related issues, depression, college adjustment, intellectual/developmental disabilities, mild autism, trauma and abuse issues, and end of life issues. Additionally, I have worked with family of origin issues, relationships, LGBTQ related issues, and many other issues.
My counseling style is client-centered, relational, and culturally sensitive. I work to provide my clients with an environment that is non-judgmental, warm and supportive. My approach is always determined by the individual client’s needs. The techniques I use during sessions are integrational in nature. I predominantly incorporate psychodynamic therapy, attachment theory, s solution-focused counseling, and cognitive-behavioral therapy. I always utilize interventions most appropriate for my clients.
I believe that we all need someone in our lives that we can share struggles and process life with. It takes a lot of courage to seek help. Congratulations on taking the first step of your journey. Good luck!
About online counseling
Online counseling allows you to receive care from an online mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Ranging from $60 to $90 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
