I have been a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist for over 25 years. I work with adults and specialize in trauma, a condition that is almost always accompanied by anxiety. My work includes a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT). I believe that the mind—"the thinking self” and body—"the feeling self” are meant to be in alignment. In a perfect world, what we think, how we act and what we feel would work together. However, there is no perfect…anything! If your personal history includes traumatic events, it’s possible that your mind and body don’t work together in real time. All that to say, I try to help people move past their past and reintegrate thoughts and feelings in order to experience a positive life in the present.
