Thank you for taking the first step to making positive changes in your life. Throughout our lives we are faced with many challenges. Sometimes these challenges feel insurmountable and we experience difficulty coping through these challenges. My aim is to empower you to utilize your inner strength and to create solutions that work for you. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and I have experience working with a broad range of issues, such as anxiety, depression, change of life, family conflict, relationship issues, adjustment issues, self-esteem issues, trauma, childhood abuse, domestic violence, communication skills, anger management, pregnancy and postpartum depression, conflict resolution, parenting and co-parenting skills, and attachment issues. I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. I have provided therapy in both English and Spanish. I utilize several different approaches when treating clients such as, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Psychodynamic, Solution-Focused, Client-Centered, Trauma-Focused, Attachment Theory, and a variety of family therapy approaches. I approach clients with empathy and compassion and work to identify a client’s strengths. I strive to make the individuals I work with feel welcome, accepted, and understood regardless of the issues they are struggling with. I am here to support you on your journey towards self-improvement. I believe every individual has the power and capability to improve their lives but at times need support in doing so. The strength and courage of the individuals I have worked with inspire me to do the work that I do and have reinforced my belief in the resiliency of individuals and their ability to overcome life’s challenges. I hope to be able to empower the individuals, couples, and families I work with to find solutions that work them, knowing that they are the experts in their lives.
About online counseling
Online counseling allows you to receive care from an online mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Ranging from $60 to $90 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
