Welcome! I am Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California. I graduated with a Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology from National University in 2012, and have been in the social service field since 2010. Since that time, I have worked with a wide array of individuals spanning from a young 4 year old girl with behavioral issues to a 106 year old individual in a Memory Care unit and everything in between. While my specialty is working with adolescents and individuals struggling with substance abuse, I enjoy working with everyone, and if we're not a fit, feel free to let me know. These past several years I have been very fortunate to run residential treatment programs for youth, and outpatient treatment programs for adults. As much as I enjoy working with clients, I have also been thrilled to share my passion and experience to coach and supervise interns and employees entering the field.
While I will use an eclectic, strengths based and trauma informed approach to therapy, I primarily lean towards using a Client Centered approach with Motivational Interviewing and/or Solution Focused Therapy. Depending on your needs, I also have extensive experience with Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Interventions for Substance Use (CBI-SU), Hypnotherapy, and Music Therapy. No matter the case, I promise to provide you a safe space, free of judgement and with a listening ear. I'd be delighted to assist you in reaching your goals. Thanks for stopping by!
About online counseling
Online counseling allows you to receive care from an online mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Ranging from $60 to $90 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
