Sharon has been my first counselor that I connected with on this platform and she is good with figuring out ideas to improve/work on your areas of discussion. When life gets in the way she gently nudges you to continue improving, I like that a lot.

More about me
Licensing: BSW, MSW, LCSW Years in Practice: 3 State: California
Greetings,
I have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California since 2012. I received my Masters of Social Work degree from San Francisco State University. I have over 10 years of experience working with clients with a wide range of concerns including anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges. I also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse.
My counseling style is cultural respectful/inclusive, reflective, empathic, and interactive. I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I don't believe in projecting judgement or stigmatizing labels. I will use cognitive-behavioral, motivational dialogue, person-centered and solution-focused interventions, during sessions. Importantly, I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to be specific to your unique needs.
Taking the first steps to explore counseling is inspiring and takes courage. I pride myself on creating a safe and supportive space were people can be listened to, having their emotions validated, and not judged. I look forward to working with you!
About online counseling
Online counseling allows you to receive care from an online mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
