More about me
Licensing: LMFT Years in Practice: 6 State: California
Hello!
My name is Tiffany Manilla. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of California. I have 6 years of experience in the therapy field, working with patients from all walks of life. My clinical experience includes working in an inpatient substance abuse recovery program for women, during which time I provided individual, group, and family counseling. In addition, I worked in a school based setting for 4 years, providing mental health counseling to students with physical and mental disabilities. The patients ranged from school aged to young adult, with predominately young adults on my caseload.
I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, low self-esteem, parenting problems, substance abuse and addiction issues, codependency, boundary development, grief and loss, and anger management . I also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse.
My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach combines client-centered, cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, psychodynamic, solution-focused, and rational-emotive counseling. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.
It takes courage to seek for a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you.
I look forward to working with you!
About online counseling
Online counseling allows you to receive care from an online mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
