Hi, thanks for stopping by! My name is Morgan and I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California with experience providing individual, group, and family therapy. I work with individuals impacted by depression, anxiety, grief and loss, trauma, parental stress, and family conflict. My approach in therapy is client-centered; clients are the experts on their lives and determine the focus and depth of therapy. I use various methods to guide clients to recognize obstacles and barriers, identify strengths and coping strategies, and solve problems in a way that meets their unique needs. I strive to bring warmth, attunement, and authenticity to my work.
Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, I earned a Master of Social Work from California State University, East Bay in 2015. I also hold a Bachelor of Arts with a concentration in Communication from California State University, Long Beach. For the past five years I have worked in community-based mental health with children and families. Outside of my work as a therapist, I enjoy cycling and yoga, caring for my houseplants, and camping with my dog.
It takes courage to seek help and support, and you've already taken the first step toward change. All that's needed now is to reach out; I look forward to working with you!
About online counseling
Online counseling allows you to receive care from an online mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Ranging from $60 to $90 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
