Hello! My name is Katie and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of California. I have been working with children, adults, and families for over 15 years.

I completed my undergraduate degree in Psychology from Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, located on the central California coast. After working with foster children, I moved to the San Francisco Bay Area to pursue a graduate degree in Counseling from Cal State East Bay, which I received in 2009.

My clinical focus is helping clients find solution to live a happier life. Change and conflict is unavoidable, unfortunately. Sometimes the difficulty can be overwhelming, and we can’t get a handling it. That’s when therapy can help clients find their own strength, supports, and solutions to lead a happier life while managing the ups and downs of life.

To achieve these goals, I use a variety of modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Positive Psychology. Depending on your goals, I find the best approach or a blend of approaches to achieve the most ideal outcome: helping you feel happier and healthier on a daily basis.

Outside of my time as a Therapist, I enjoys going on walks, going to the movies, taking my toddler to the park, binge watching Netflix, and going on shopping trips to Target.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.

Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.
