Recent reviews

I've been very pleased with Karen Tumbleson in talking to her regarding my grief and loss of my mother. It's been a terrible journey, but I've been helped in recent months by Karen. She's offered insights that I never even thought of, and she's been helpful at having somebody to finally bounce ideas and thoughts to.

More about Karen

Hello. My name is Karen. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida with extensive experience helping people navigate issues related to grief, loss, loneliness, anxiety and depression. These issues are often attached to personal trauma, life transitions, or current and past relationship struggles.

If you have not utilized counseling in the past, please know that it is simply a safe place to tell your story and make the changes that you chose. If you have taken part in counseling before, welcome back. Adjustments, adaptations and growth are lifelong pursuits. You may already know that BetterHelp’s vision is to “help more people live a better and happier life every day.” I embrace that vision. It’s simple, honest, and has an infinite goal to focus on improvement every day.

My counseling style is empathic, interactive and solution focused. You and your strengths are the focus of treatment. Solutions focused and cognitive behavioral therapies have impact across many situations because they offer guidance and tools for real life. Because of this, I use these approaches with clients often. Focusing on how thoughts impact emotions and implanting steps towards change means that counseling does not generally need to be long term. Effective therapy sends people out with tools and strategies to use immediately and into the future.

I am already looking forward to meeting you and am excited for the “better and happier” ahead.

It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
