I've been working with Alicia for a few weeks now and have already seen progress. She's been helping me with parenting advice/issues and the improvement in only a short amount of time is really unbelievable to me. I'm excited to continue to progress with my parenting, and with my other concerns we will discuss in the future.

Hello!
I am a licensed clinical social worker in FL. VA. UT. and ME and a licensed marriage and family therapist in FL. I have worked in various environments in the mental health field for over 18 years. My experience is working with children, adolescents, young adults, couples, and families with concerns including communication difficulties, parenting , relationship conflict, grief and loss, stress and anxiety, and compassion fatigue. I also have specialized experience in autism assessment.
My approach to therapy is client-centered and solution-focused. I believe the most progress is made when you meet a client where they are at and focus on the issues that are a priority for them. It is important to me to establish a safe, open, space where clients are treated with respect and feel comfortable. I utilize cognitive-behavioral, motivational interviewing, and strengths-based strategies to help guide our sessions. This way we can work together to identify and address the challenges that you are facing so that you can move forward. You have already taken the first step by reaching out and exploring Better Help so congratulations, you are already headed in the right direction! I look forward to getting to know you and helping you continue to move ahead with positive change.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

She's a great counselor and she really does listen and she pays attention and she asked follow up questions from the last visits are recommend her she's really great
Alicia is absolutely wonderful! She really knows how to read her clients and they're needs in that moment. She asks thought provoking questions at the right time, gives helpful tips and advice when appropriate, and sometimes just listens- her balanced technique makes her so easy to talk to and makes the appointments feel productive! She's very relatable and feels like a very open person who (just like me) has good days, bad days, struggles, and frustrations. Thank you Alicia!
Alicia is the best! She understands what ive gone through. She makes great suggestions on what to do to help, but ultimately she just gets that some times its about venting and listening. I actually stopped therapy for a little bit but what i loved was when i signed back up it just picked up right where i left off.
She has been my therapist on and off for years now and has always been thoughtful and patient and kind listening to me and trying h to offer guidance
In the short time with Alicia she has converted a non believer.
Alicia really takes the time to listen to what I have to say (or write) and offers me concrete ways to make small changes with tremendous effect. Her questions are really thoughtful and help guide us to the root of a problem, she respects me exactly as I am, and she doesn’t make unnecessary assumptions about me or my life. I would highly recommend Alicia and I am so grateful to be paired with her.
Alicia has been my all time favorite therapist to work with. She creates a warm and welcoming environment. I have never felt so comfortable opening up to allow growth and guidance in my life. She provides wonderful guidance and encouragement through difficult challenges in life.

I’ve only been using BetterHelp for about two weeks and was really nervous because I’ve never done therapy but Alicia has made me feel very comfortable and supported. 10/10 recommend her.
I didn’t mean to strongly disagree about my therapist getting back to me in a timely matter

Alicia is a great therapist and helps me deal with my situations tremendously!
I’d say one of the best counselors I’ve ever had the privilege of working with, definitely a good fit for me.
I’ve really appreciated how Alicia responds to my messages in a timely manner. It’s been very comforting to have someone to talk to that can help me get through this tough time. She’s great.
I am saddened that I will not be able to continue my counseling sessions with Alicia because my three covered sessions have ended. She is an amazing counselor that has given me hope and tools to manage an uncomfortable situation. I am very grateful to have had this while brief but valuable opportunity to work with her!
