People come to therapy for a variety of reasons. Some are contemplating making changes in their life, some are actively in the process of adopting new behaviors and still others have made changes and are looking to maintain those gains. Whatever stage you find yourself, I can help. I bring 15 years of experience working internationally and a mental health background in hospitals and agency settings I have a diverse background and experience working in a variety of cultures. As a therapist I focus on CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) with a solutions based approach that allows clients to set SMART (specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and timely) goals.

Before beginning our work together we will sit down and discuss any questions or concerns. We will then outline your goals and begin to identify ways to achieve those goals. Questions such as “what does success look like to you?” and “how will you know when you have achieved that goal?” will become important benchmarks in our process. Once we know what we are working towards we can come up with a timeline that will allow us to commit to the all important resource of time, needed to make change.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.

Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.
