More about me
Licensing: Psy.D. Years in Practice: 13 State: Georgia
Hi I’m Dr. Green and I’m a clinical psychologist, licensed in Georgia and Hawaii, with 20 years of experience in the mental health field. I have had the amazing opportunity of serving culturally and ethnically diverse people across the Washington, DC metropolitan area, as well as in the states of Georgia and Hawaii and on the islands of St. Thomas and St. John in the US Virgin Islands. These diverse counseling and consulting experiences have taught me a lot about honoring and respecting the unique contributions that everyone has to offer to our society. I have helped many people learn to embrace their distinctive cultural characteristics and use them as building blocks to self-discovery and self-acceptance to empower them to feel more confident in themselves.
My treatment is guided by the principles of positive psychology with a focus on helping clients to find ways to improve their quality of life by building on their character strengths. I also use cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) and therapies which have been found to be the most effective for individuals who have experienced a trauma, such as Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Prolonged Exposure Therapy and Trauma Focused CBT.
I believe that you deserve to have the life that you want and love. I can help you build a life full of enjoyment and satisfaction and equip you with the tools to manage the stressors that come your way from time to time. Together we can create a more balanced and fulfilling life for you so let's get started today!
About online counseling
Online counseling allows you to receive care from an online mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
