Welcome!
The journey of life can be filled with great joys and many challenges. To walk this journey, it is often helpful to collaborate with those who can walk alongside us on the journey with empathic support. Wherever you are on that journey, I am someone who can partner with you.
I am a licensed professional counselor and registered art therapist who is passionate about holistic wellness. I have a Master's Degree in Art Therapy and Professional Counseling and a Masters of Divinity. I am Person centered, trauma informed and eclectic in my holistic approach to therapy, often utilizing Narrative Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to assist clients in meeting their treatment goals. Being a strengths based therapist, I encourage clients to focus on developing their innate abilities and I empower them to use those strengths to overcome their presenting problems. I also specialize in using creativity and spirituality for those who want to integrate that into their healing journey in counseling. I am also a registered yoga and meditation teacher (RYT-200) who engages mindfulness practices. I have worked in a variety of settings with diverse groups of people of all races, backgrounds and ages from 3 to 80, on a myriad of presenting problems and diagnoses. I am especially able to help with depression, anxiety, grief, and adjustment issues, as a comforting listener and helper on your healing journey.
I look forward to us working together to get you to where you want to be!
About online counseling
Online counseling allows you to receive care from an online mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Ranging from $60 to $90 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
